Weber Spirit E-310 Propane Gas Grill Review – VerellenHC

Weber Spirit E-310 Gas Grill

7 Key Features of The Weber Spirit E-310

1) Design and Construction

The Weber Spirit E-310 measures 63 x 52 x 32 inches with the lid open. The lid has quite a deep depth so you can cook a few whole chickens without having to chop them to smaller parts.

In terms of usability, there are 2 side shelves to store the raw food, utensils or even a plate for cooked food. Its controls are conveniently located under the burners.

What we like the most about this grill is its solid design and construction. The grill is made from cast aluminum. What we like about this is that this kind of material can withstand high temperatures and requires close to no maintenance. It is therefore very efficient and durable. The design also allows an even distribution of food for proper cooking.

The cooking grates are even more durable, as they’re made of cast iron and porcelain enameled to prevent sticking.

The same technology was used for the flavorizer bars. This system was originally invented by Weber. Its main role is to catch drippings and vaporising most of them. The remaining drippings will be efficiently disposed of through the grease management system.

2) Power and Efficiency

While most grills in this range come with one large burner, this unit features three different burners.

They’re all medium size, so they add up to the overall cooking power. They are entirely made of stainless steel. In other words, they’ll maintain their efficiency overtime – no risks in terms of durability or build.

As for the overall heating power, these burners can put out up to 32,000 BTU per hour. Your food will cook much faster, not to mention the possibility to cook plenty of different foods at the same time.

3) Warming and Cooking Area

The warming area is yet another major innovation that we like.

Most grills allow you to cook food, but they don’t have a feature to let you set to such low temperatures.

With this unit, you can keep your food warm or reheat leftovers without worrying that you might overcooked or burn them.

The warming area measures 105 square inches. It’s more than enough for about 8 burgers, 10 hot dogs or 5 chicken thighs.

The cooking area measures 424 squares inches. It’s large enough to allow cooking for a large family or a group of friends. It is also excellent for get-togethers as well.

4) Control Panel and Technologies

Even if this is the first time grilling without any experience at all, the whole operation is quite straightforward.

The control panel is visible and easy to access from the front side. It features three dials for controls.

Each of those dials controls a burner and the top of the lid features a small thermometer.

Starting the unit is quite simple – there is one button to press only. (Thanks to the electronic crossover ignition system). Forget about the need to start fires yourself, saving time and hassle.

5) Storage and Portability

The storage area is located right under the control panel. It’s enclosed by a sturdy steel door. You will have plenty of space to store grilling utensils and accessories.

The storage is so ample that you can also keep some LP tanks in there, (large one or some small portable units).

In terms of portability, there are 4 wheels that are all made with heavy duty uses in mind. Two of them can swivel and the front ones are lockable.

6) Operation and Safety

The Weber Spirit E-310 runs with gas. Gas has several benefits over other types of fuel, like wood or charcoal.

First benefit is, it won’t release so much smoke.

Secondly, clean aroma on the food. It allows a deep customization for those who don’t like heavily smoked foods.

You can run the grill with differently sized propane tanks. If you upload it to your RV and plan to go on camping trips, you can always run it with small portable tanks. If you mostly use it at home, a large classic tank will do the trick.

The best part is, the grill also features a fuel gauge. It tells you exactly how much fuel you got left, so you can eliminate guesswork and prevent unexpected surprises.

The handle will never get hot, even if you cook for hours. You can open the lid and keep an eye on the food with no risks at all.

7) Grease Management and Maintenance

Liquids and juices dripping off reach the flavorizer bars, which then vaporize most of them. The smoke is then released.

Some of the juices are transferred to the dripping tray. It’s located right under the cook box. It’s far from the actual burners though, so the grease is less likely to catch fire.

In terms of maintenance, just slide the tray out, get rid of the remains and clean it.

Cleaning of the unit is a breeze. You only need a bowl full of water, a bit of dishwasher liquid and a clean sponge. It’s highly recommended to clean it as soon as you’re done cooking.

If you leave it for days, grease will harden and might need to be scrubbed off. At that point, you risk scratching the surface material.
